Commission
Terms & Conditions
It is advised you start the commission process 2 months before your deadline.
Once you have had your consultation, key points will be confirmed in writing.
I will confirm dates to work on the commission with the designer/ client and we will proceed with an initial payment.
Before starting the work, a payment of at least 8 hours must be made. However, more than this can be paid to avoid multiple payments. I will work until the payment has been used and will resume when another has been made.
Guide prices are an estimate but can cost more if the designer isn’t prepared.
If designers aren’t ready by the agreed date, one day of pay (8 hours) will be billed.
Invoices, if requested, will be sent daily detailing the hours worked, what has been produced and how much has been spent.
Yarn is to be ordered and sent by the designer/client, but I can help with this process.
If my personal yarn is used for a commission this will be weighed and billed separately.
Any deliveries/collection of finished garment(s), will be paid and organised by the designer. If I need to deliver the garment personally, or pick any materials up, travel and time will be covered by the designer.
Any import fees/taxes are to be paid by the designer/client.
Last minute commissions with a deadline of 2 weeks or less will be an additional £10ph.
Students can not use their discount on commissions.
Designers must agree to credit me in all media where my work is featured and agree to me posting details of the process and final outcome. I can however wait until a particular date if specified.
Work will not be released to the designer/client until full payment has been received.
Moving ahead with the commission is confirmation that the designer agrees to all of the above.
